Are you in the last 30% to fill out the survey?

While we are thrilled that 70% of you have filled out your survey, we cannot and will not rest until the last 30% of you have done the same. At Boiling Point Games, we strive for only the best and want to make sure that each one of our backers is completely satisfied with their experience. After all, if you don't fill out your survey, we can't get you your stuff. No survey = No game. And what is Kickstarter without being able to get really cool stuff ?

Unless you don't mind losing your pledge and/or incurring additional shipping costs, you need to fill out your survey ASAP or by July 31st at the absolute latest since that's when the pledge manager will close. (If you did a pledge for no reward you may disregard, however anyone who purchased a game will need to fill out the survey).

Pre-Production Progress

Now that we have finished the final game designs, we are in the process of getting our files approved by LongPack Games (our manufacturer). The purpose of this step is to make sure everything is in the correct formatting so that when we go to print there are no surprises.  Once this step is completed LongPack will begin to create the first prototype for us to approve! We are anticipating this step will take between 1 - 2 months, but will continue to keep you updated along the way!

Design Update - Finalized Menu's & Player Tokens

And last but not least, we wanted to share what the finalized Player Menus and Player Tokens (Meeples) will look like!  We made the changes to the Player Menu's based off several pieces of feedback from various play tests. It seemed that there was a consensus that players wanted to see the labels above the boxes rather than inside. We decided to move forward with Meeples as the player tokens instead of printed figures based off two reasons, cost and efficiency. In order to keep the price of the game lower using the Meeple design was our best option. The chef hat will remain the player indicator and the pepper grinder will remain the round tracker. With this change we were also able to get the designs done quicker, thus getting the game in your hands faster as well!

You will be prompted to confirm your order, enter in your shipping information as well as pay for shipping. If we do not have your information then we cannot ship you the game!

Survey Update + A Big Thank You!

Monday, May 23rd 2022

Update #1 - In next next few days you will be receiving a survey from one of our partners Backerkit. This survey will highlight several things, but most importantly it will allow you to edit your order,  add or subtract any add ons, lock in your order and pay for shipping. Once all of our backers have filled this out we will be able to provide this to our shipping partner and get the ball rolling with them. 

Update #2 - Even though we didn't hit any of our stretch goals during the campaign, as a thank you to everyone who has supported we have decided to move forward with the different color Menu Boards! There will be a total of 6 colors, one for each player. We felt that this update really enhances the visuals of the game and didn't want our supporters to miss out, just because we didn't reach a certain number.  The image below is showing one of the colors we are moving forward with (Menu Board details are still subject to change): 

Update #3 - Our final update is in regards to timing. While it is our intent to have the game out to all of you by the end of the year, there are outside factors that could contribute to some delays. Currently parts of China are in lockdown due to the ongoing Covid outbreaks which are putting delays on manufacturing. In addition there are also many back ups at major ports around the world which is also slowing down freight coming from overseas. While we don't know exactly what the future holds, we will continue to update you all once the game has officially started manufacturing and we have a better idea of how long it will take to get it out to everyone.

Thank you from all of us at Boiling Point Games! 

We have reached the end of the campaign. Ovens and stoves are turned off.  Now its time to eat!

In the next month or two we will have our pledge manager open and you will be able to finalize your pledge and let us know where you want your pledge rewards sent to.

Even though the campaign is done, we still have a little bit more to do to make this the best game we can. 

We will be sending you monthly updates to keep you all informed of our progress.

Thanks to your help What's on the Menu has funded! We can't wait for everyone to be able to play the game and start cooking up some crazy menus. We are extremely excited to get moving on the next part of the process and can't thank you all enough for your generosity. 

What Are The Next Steps?

Once our campaign officially ends in about 24 hours we will begin the next phase of the process. There are some edits that we are planning to make to some of our cards, as well as adding all of our VIP backers names to the special section in our rule book. (We will be reaching out to each VIP backer asking for the exact name they would like to put).
